Tell others about The Acorn Project and direct them to this website. Like our Facebook page here. Post about us on your own social media page. Perhaps you know a young person who might need our support? Please ask them – or their parents/carers - to get in touch with us.

Make a donation

Your donation will make a real difference to your local community. You can make a small regular contribution each month, or a one-off donation. Donations over $5 are eligible for tax credits or tax deductible. Our bank account details are listed here. If you prefer you can make a donation through our give-a-little page here.

Every dollar counts; every donation is appreciated - and what we raise in the Bay, stays in the Bay. We do not receive any Government funding. We rely solely on fundraising, our amazing sponsors and donations from people like yourself.

Get involved

We are incredibly grateful to our supporters and appreciate every dollar given by organisations and individuals. We couldn’t do it without this financial support. But we also need hands-on help.

In today’s busy world we know that’s a big ask. But we also know that there are exceptional people out there who genuinely want to be the difference our community needs. If this could be you, here are some of the ways you can make a lasting contribution.

Volunteer

We are in awe of our marvellous volunteers, and we’re always ready to welcome new ones! Everyone brings different skills and life experiences to their volunteer work - and there’s plenty to keep you busy!

From helping to organise a fundraising event, supporting our young people during a monthly activity to providing transport.

Fundraise for us

We are always looking for new and fun ways to raise both money and awareness for The Acorn Project. No matter what your idea is - a fancy dress bike ride, head shave, mufti day, quiz, black tie event, or an auction - if you would like to support us, we would love to hear from you.

Add to your community service log

Would you like to add some hours to your community service log and make a difference at the same time? If so please contact Kerrie via email to see if there is an ongoing project you can get involved with.

If you are completing The William Pike Challenge or Duke of Edinburgh Award NZ, this is a great opportunity for you to give back to the community. For instance, we often need help to pack ‘Take A Kid To Footy’ bags during the Magpies season, or you could be one of our amazing marshals at The Mitre 10 MEGA Walk.

You may also have your own unique idea of how you can help us out and clock up your service hours at the same time. We would love to hear from you.

Payroll Giving
