If you are aged 12 to 24, live in Hawke’s Bay, and there is a cancer diagnosis in your immediate family, we can help. Our support services are available to the following people:
Patients
Young people aged 12 - 24 years who have been diagnosed with cancer, are receiving treatment, or have finished treatment.
Siblings
Young people aged 12 - 24 years who have a brother/sister that has been diagnosed with cancer, is receiving treatment, or has finished treatment.
Bereaved Siblings
Young people age 12-24 years whose brother or sister has passed away from cancer.
Parent/Main Carer
Young people age 12-24 years whose parent or main carer has been diagnosed with cancer, is receiving treatment, or has finished treatment.
Bereaved Young People (Parent/Main Carer)
Young people age 12 - 24 years whose parent or main carer has passed away from cancer.
Parent/Carer Network
When a young person aged 12 - 24 years becomes a member of The Acorn Project, their parents or main carers have the option to join their own support network.
